My name is Lynn, and I am the TBS Iota Treasurer!
We just recently passed the budget for this spring semester. After some cuts, we managed to fit it under the new national cap that was put in place after this past national convention. If you’re interested in seeing our budget, I’d love to share it with you! Just shoot me an email ([email protected]), and I would be happy to share! Like many of you know, we decided to cut the alumni newsletter after this past fall, which has been replaced by this blog. Emily has done just a great job keeping up with this blog, and there are always so many fun things that we are doing with it!
With the passing of budgets comes the collection of dues. Though not the most fun part of my job, it is the necessary for the functioning of our faBUlous sisterhood (forgive me for the bad pun there, but that is probably one of my favorite Baylor jokes).
As treasurer, I am the chair of the Ways and Means Committee. Usually, this just involves budgeting but this past year, we decided to use our committees more. As such, the ways and means committee has become a sort of joint committee with projects. Sara (the projects chair) and the rest of the Ways and Means Committee have had some great ideas for projects. For instance, Sara had the idea of doing a Valentines’ day fundraiser to sell cute valentines, flowers, and cards. Hopefully we’ll make some profit from it.
Thanks for reading about the exciting job of treasurer (and sorry for my lack of pictures)!
MLITB and MOTS,
Your friendly neighborhood treasurer, Lynn!
