Hello! My name is Tori (Belle) from Spring ’13 Mouseketeers!
I am a Junior this year at Baylor University and studying to become an elementary school teacher! Looking back on my semester of training to become part of this wonderful sisterhood, I think about all of the fun memories I have had! Now that I am part of this sorority, I have had many new memories as a sister in the bond! Recently we had our Crush which was so fun! We had a field day theme—we participated in different activities such as Red Rover, Ninja, Egg run, and Dodge ball. I had such a blast hanging out with my brothers and sisters. I have also had such a great time serving the Baylor University Golden Wave Band with my brothers and sisters! It feels great to show our appreciation and love for the band by serving them! Lastly, I have a lot of fun selling candy and drinks with my brothers and sisters at Baylor University shows, such as, Sing, Pigskin, and Waco Symphony Orchestra. I am extremely blessed to be a part of the Iota chapter of Tau Beta Sigma at Baylor University and can’t wait to see what other wonderful opportunities are in store for us! MLITB, Tori Hi! This is Kathryn, or "Kit-Kat" from Spring '11, Sugar Rush. I'm a fifth-year senior music performance major, and I'll be graduating in December. While I'm looking forward to moving on to the next stage of my life, these years with Tau Beta gave me some of my most treasured college memories. I've learned something every step of the way, from membership training and all the crazy fun times with my MC sisters to this final semester and the joy of watching the younger members grow in leadership and strength.
One of my favorite memories from my time here (not including all those crazy late nights as MCs) is from just last semester, when we took a break from Waco and went out to Lake Whitney for our sisterhood retreat. Just getting to hang out with my sisters, away from the confines of meetings or work or just the everyday, was such a blessing. Even though my ears later regretted jumping in the still freezing lake as the sun was going down, I wouldn't trade it for anything. I know I'm going to miss this sisterhood (I'm tearing up as I'm writing this!) but I know that there is a time for everything, and my time for active involvement is soon to end. I'm forever going to remember the wonderful love and support I've had from my amazing sisters. MLITB, Kathryn So yeah, crush was this weekend(: It was so much fun and I had such a great time planning it! The theme was field day and we played games like red rover and dodgeball and had a few relay races! I had a little bit of a fright when the weather decided to be mean and rain Saturday night but the field drained pretty well, and mud always makes things more interesting! Here I am with my two crushes, Andrew on the left and then Josh, my big brother, on the right! These guys definitely make me feel short… Here are most of the actives while we were setting up! I love these girls and this sisterhood so much and I can’t wait to see what is in store the rest of this semester and the semesters to come!
