On an unrelated note: I am so excited to be completing a research position at the Balcones Canyonlands this summer where I’ll be looking at how prescribed fires affect the CO2 output for the region! I’ll also be completing a fellowship at the Texas Hunger Initiative where I’ll be joining in on their Listening Series to assess hunger across Central Texas. SIC ‘EM BEARS :D
Hey y’all it’s Eugenie! This Sunday we had the wonderful opportunity to sit down with Janet West Miller, Karon Miller Hammond, her husband, David Hammond, and Diana Meyer. It was an incredible opportunity to speak with two former national presidents and a previous chapter president. Janet spoke about the founding of Iota and her time in the Golden Wave Band. Although things have certainly changed since Iota’s founding, some things always stay the same. The friendships that we make in Tau Beta Sigma are truly lifelong bonds; I am beyond amazed by the legacy these incredible women have set for us, and I can only dream of living up to such a high standard.
