Hi everybody! Long time, no post amiright? Some updates on myself: I turned 21 over the winter break, spent some time with my super fun relatives from Long Island, New York, drowned in school work and Sing rehearsals, and started preparing for the MCAT. Even though I’m not taking the MCAT until June 1, I can already feel it taking over my life and we are only one test and one paper into the semester! Thank goodness for friends who stay up all night in the library with you and still stick around to help you practice your tennis skills. I’m already looking forward to the sweet relaxation of spring break….

Hello all! It's now 2018 and so far the year has been fantastic! At the start of the new year, I was able to find a part-time job working for a ceramic company called Black Oak Art. This company designs and hand makes the mugs Magnolia uses and sells in their store. So far it has been pretty fun, I have made some new friends and some moneeeyy. Having this job has kept me really busy. I go to work in the afternoon which cuts out a lot of studying time so the grind for school work is really important now more than ever. I do not have as much free time as I use to. Also in the new year, I have been going to the gym a little more often than last year. But I still find myself making excuses to not go to the gym. New year, not so new me? This is also my final semester as an undergrad. I'm actually mortified that I will be done with school and be moving on to the next chapter. I have no idea where I will be or what I will be doing upon graduating and I'm terrified but on the bright side I know I will no longer have endless nights at moody!
MLITB, Maisha Hey there! I’m Casey, aka Harmonic Goddesses member Danu. And I’ve just got to say, wow, it has been a week.
First off, I have about a million different things due. Papers, readings, all kinds of those fun college things that you have to take care of. But honestly, that was not even scratching the surface of everything going on in my life. Tuesday was Halloween! And boy, was it one of the scariest Halloweens of my entire life. Not because of any spoopy costume, or haunted house, or the new episodes of Stranger Things that I still haven’t been able to watch, no. It was the scariest thing a college senior can experience, the encroaching reality of REAL LIFE. (Insert dun-dun-duuuuuuuuun sound effect here perhaps paired with Mad Scientist cackling? Make it intense, this is scury stuff.) Long story short I walked downstairs Tuesday morning, bright-eyed and bushy tailed (here meaning sleep-deprived, grumpy, and overworked) only for the carpet to start squishing. The bottom floor of our apartment had flooded. Fun. Then that evening there was a rainbow positioned perfectly over our apartment. It was weird man. Thankfully, though, nothing was damaged. It has just been annoying trying to write a 16-18 page paper on the Women of The Lord of the Rings with drying fans and a dehumidifier going in the living room at all times. Also, we haven’t really been able to use the kitchen because all of our furniture is in there. Anyway, back to my paper MLITB Casey Hey guys! It is BJ. I am still alive (somehow) and I am halfway through my very last semester. I am almost finished with the last two classes that I need to graduate, and it feels amazing. Especially when you compare it to last semester, when I was taking three classes that you probably should not take at the same time.
Advanced Public Relations + Public Relations Writing + Writing and Editing for Online Media Markets = more stress than you would realize. Add in an Entrepreneurship class that includes creating a business plan and you are in for a semester of nonstop homework. It’s all good, though. I survived and now I am in the final stretch. This semester I am taking Public Relations Media Programming, the capstone course for all PR majors, and a lab science course. It has been relaxing compared to previous semesters, at least when it comes to my workload. On the other hand, I have this little thing called graduation to worry about. My biggest concern this week has been working on my invitations. Once that is taken care of, it is time to work on my senior photos (I already found a photographer). I am also working to make sure I have a job when I graduate. I have a contract offer from a company that I really like, and I am working to see if another company is going to make an offer. Either way, I will have a job when I graduate, and it will be in the industry I want to be in. That is video game public relations, if anyone is wondering. To be honest, it still feels surreal to think that I will be graduating in a little over a month. It has been a long few years and through it all, I don’t know where I would be without my sisters. Through my time in TBS I have met some truly amazing men and women, all of who had a huge impact on my life. They have been there for me through some tough times, and I honestly don’t know what I would do without them. I joined Tau Beta wanting to help serve the band and what I got was some amazing friendships. It hasn’t always been easy but in the end, it was all worth it. I will always be a proud sister of TBS, as long as stars shall shine. MLITB BJ Hey everyone! My name is Alina—or Espresso from the Spring ’15 MC Class Beanie Babies! It’s been a while since I last wrote a blog here (oops) but things are getting super interesting! I’m finally in my Senior Year of college, and I feel very excited! The next step is law school, but right now I’m buried in applications and schoolwork. I’m looking forward to applying what I’ve learned during my time in Tau Beta Sigma! I just went to the Law School Fair on my birthday actually! I got a little brother! His name is Quinton, and his big brother is Philip! I’m really excited for him and he’s only got a little more than a week left before he’s officially a brother of Kappa Kappa Psi! In speaking of Kappa Kappa Psi, I’m actually their sweetheart this year! It’s been pretty fun so far! This meant that I was their Homecoming Court nominee! Even though I didn’t win anything, it was a blast being part of the process, as well as an honor! Here are the pictures right before the presentation at Pigskin Revue, in the presentation at Pigskin Revue, and at the parade! Till next time, y’all!
