My name is Kelsey Way (The one in purple) and I have just gotten back from Austin for participating in the TEHA conference. TEHA is Texas Environmental Health Association and members of TEHA work in a position normally found in the Environmental Health field such as water quality, food quality, code enforcement, health inspections, sanitation, emergency response, animal services, vector control, and etc. Fields found in the EPA, USDA, CDC, FDA, TDSHS, and TCEQ can or do involve environmental health fields. This past summer I got to intern with the Plano Environmental Health department with their Stormwater team in West Nile mosquito and vector control. When I went back to TEHA, I got to meet with my coworkers from this summer and it made the conference all the better. I learned so much from this conference and, thanks to my internship, was able to understand what was being discussed at the multiple panels.
