Hi everyone! It’s Ashley again. This school year starting off running and hasn’t slowed down since. With football season in full swing, there have some really exciting, but also some not so exciting moments. However, I still enjoy going to every game (and watching the away games) and cheering on our Baylor Bears. BUGWB has also been a blast! We have played some amazing (and really challenging) music this year and I’m so excited for everyone to see what have in store next! Classes-wise, I am honestly enjoying every single class I am in. Now that I am done with most of the general requirements, I am able to focus completely on Russian and my study of the Slavic peoples and cultures. It has been a blast to really be able to focus on what I came here to study. As test week is approaching and the projects are beginning to pile up, I’m so glad to have my sisters by my side to encourage me to keep going.

This past weekends game was great. We got to do the chickens this week and our JA's did a wonderful job for the 1st time. Our halftime show was so much fun. Gardens of the galaxy with dancing baby Groot 😍. The team really stepped up to the occasion and I'm so proud of our boys! I do not care that we lost it was a fantastic game and was great to watch. Games like that are what makes collage football so much better then the NFL (sorry not sorry NFL fans). I love my bears. Also this past weekend was better then last weekend when I got sick :(. However I want to give a shout out to my boyfriend Andrew for coming and taking care of me and making sure Lily got walked and I stayed in bed. And what blog post is not complete with out a picture of Lily <3
Hello everyone! This summer I was lucky enough to go to the National Convention in Orlando, Florida as the delegate for Iota, and I wanted to quickly say how it went! I had a fantastic time, and I got to see and meet with TBS and KKPsi chapters from around the country which was great! I was also able to meet with Janet West Miller and Karon Miller Hammond during the convention, which was a wonderful experience! Riley (the delegate for Beta Alpha) and I had the opportunity to eat dinner with them and some of their family and close friends! It was exciting to see more sisters and brothers than I remember seeing at NatCon, and I also learned more about TBS. The convention was not only fun, but also very instructional and inspirational. In conclusion, being the delegate for the 2017 NatCon was very busy at times, but it was an experience that I'll never forget!
MLITB, Alexis Workman Spring 2016 Class With this school year coming to a close we have serval lovely sisters who will be starting the first steps of the next part of their journey though life. Though we will miss seeing them day to day we are extremely excited for their futures. Before they go though they wanted to share a few more words with us about what is next and what has been one of their favorite memories while being here and being in TBS. Marina 1. Plans after graduation- after graduation I plan on attending graduate school to obtain my PhD in Environmental Science focused in nanotoxicology at Baylor University. After this I’m thinking about doing a post-doc at a different lab and then seeing where that leads me. 2. My favorite memory in TBS cannot be pinned down to one exact moment, but some of my favorite memories are when Elaine (my big) and I would spend time together. ELAINE I MISS YOU AND LOVE YOU SO MUCH! She really helped me with my transition into college and band. Some of my other favorite memories are the Joint Halloween parties we would have with Kappa Kappa Psi, going to Cameron park to make s’mores, and getting to know everyone and becoming friends with people in TBS, KKPSI, and the band in general. I have made some great friends during my time in band and that is something that I am very grateful for. Here are some of my favorite photos from my years in TBS 😊 (Marina loves pictures) Megan Hi y'all! It's been a crazy four years, but unfortunately it all has to end sometime. I plan on going to nursing school after graduation(still waiting on acceptance letter!). My goal is to become a forensic nurse once I get my nursing degree. My favorite TBS memory is of my MC class, The Spice Girls, performing our dance at the last activities night with our thug gear lol! Eugine Hi y’all! After graduation, I will be pursuing a Master of Public Affair at the University of Texas. My favorite memory in TBS would have to be my freshman year, during MEP. We went to the zoo with the KPsi’s, and the goal was for us not to take a picture in front of the Dik-dik. One of the KPsi’s tried to pull me towards the Dik-dik, and I remember the rest of my MC class fighting him off. It was some serious sisterly love! Morgan Hello! My name is Morgan Smith and I am graduating in two weeks with a Bachelor of Arts in Medical Humanities with a minor in Biology. I am not 100% sure what I am doing next year: I will either go to OU College of Medicine (I am on the waitlist) or take a gap year to work as a medical scribe. I can hardly believe that my time as a student at Baylor University is almost over but what an amazing ride it has been! One of the most important parts of my Baylor experience has been the friends and memories I have made through Tau Beta Sigma. My Tau Beta sisters have been with me through thick and thin. I can remember all of their encouragements as I was preparing for the MCAT and then as I was writing my thesis. I have so many fond memories of them: passing out plumes at football games (chickens!!), dancing in our pretty dresses at formals, hanging together at picnics and sisterhood events, and singing our sorority songs… just to name a few! I am so thankful that I decided to join Tau Beta Sigma my freshman year. My sisters have help shaped me into who I am today. “So from today until my rest with my sisters I am best.” Clare After graduation, I am going to take a year off to live and work in Commerce, TX while my boyfriend Trevor finishes his degree in Environmental Science, after which we will likely take turns going to grad school. He and I have been together for seven years and I am so excited to not be long-distance anymore! One of my favorite TBS memories is from this year, when the sisterhood went to Cameron Park one night and made s'mores with the MCs, and then the s'more party turned into a spontaneous dance party with music blasting from ShiShi's car. Photo: my brother Josh, me, and my grandma on Easter To all of you, we your Tau Beta Sigma sisters, thank you for what you have contributed to our chapter. Thank you for being there for our tears and being the cause of our laughs. Iota would not be the same without each of your influences. Remember, as you fling your green and gold afar, that when darkness fall and all is night to trust your heart and you will find the light.
