Hi Sisters! My name is Heather & I'm the webmaster of Iota! I thought the perfect post to sum up the last few weeks should be all about homecoming! :3 I'm sure a lot of you miss the whole BUGWB Homecoming day! :3 In case you do miss it, please enjoy these photos of Homecoming weekend Iota style :D
Here's a photo from the Iota & Beta Alpha Alumni mixer on Friday night after the bon fire :3 This is the original Pink Swirl family (minus Nathalie!) From Left to Right: Heather Sony Schuster, Lauren Lindigrin, Me (Heather McGowan), and Kim Jones :3 Yay bigs & littles!
Here is beautiful (CREEPY), Floyd Casey at 6:45am on Homecoming Day! WOOO!
7:20am, the buses roll out to the beginning of the parade route :3
Kim & Me wide awake and smiling, ready for the parade :3
LOOK! I have on my rec bar! :3
"Did I get into your picture, Kim?" :D
"Take a picture of me jumping since I am sooooo EXCITED!" haha! Keep in mind that it is 7:30am...
Aww!! Roommate Senior picture! We're really excited that this is our last Homecoming parade :D
Here's a beautiful picture of Emily, the BUGWB homecoming queen nominee :D Her car number was #9 (chicka chickaw!)
And here's beautiful Brenna representing Tau Beta Sigma :D She had the pleasure in riding in Travis Earp's car with her boyfriend Ben Gloff :D Travis is an alum of Beta Alpha
Aww :) Here's Beta Alpha's sweetheart, Lynn :D (It's hard to make a cute pose in a uniform... haha)
And here's Lynn with her boyfriend, Colby with the infamous BU Bear in the background :D
I love this giant blow up bear :D
Here's the back half of the band getting ready for the parade :D
Yay! Kim's squad looking all cute and happy at 8:00am :D
HOMECOMING STRETCHES! I will definitely miss these :D
It's a beautiful day to BEAT SOME JAYHAWKS :D
Oh yeah! We are ready for Pre-Game :D
There was a mild rain delay after half-time, so the band & alumni band was able to go into a weight room to wait it out.
While waiting, we decided to take fun pictures :) The alumnae made me feel so loved! I can't wait to be a part of the alumni band next year :)
Chelsea Middleton: "How do sororities take pictures now-a-days? Let's try it!"
Haha... We look so awkward! Especially me with my 5'2" self next to Lauren :D
The rain is moving away! This is one side of the stadium,
and this is the other side of the stadium :D So beautiful :D
Finally, after the parade, rehearsal, pre-game, awesome half-time, rain delay, and football game win, WE SING :D
Sic 'em IOTA :3

Needless to say, I think I'm still on a homecoming high :) I loved getting to see all the alumnae (especially my big sister!). As a JA 2 years ago, I didn't care much for the Homecoming traditions of catching up with alumni, but I'm definitely starting to appreciate it more now that I actually know people who are alumni. :D

As webmaster, I definitely tweeted a lot during the Homecoming weekend, so shout out to Kim who took pictures for me when my phone died in the second quarter of the game :3 If you haven't already, please follow TBSiota on twitter to get updates for blog posts & to see how the sisterhood is doing :3

I can't wait to be considered an alumna next Homecoming & enjoy all the festivities that normal alumni get to experience during Homecoming weekend :3

<3 ITB
Heather

PS: In case you missed it (or want to watch it again), check out our Homecoming halftime performance :3 The fun starts at around 5:30
